A beautiful and well-marked hike from Frick train station over the Thiersteinberg hill to Wittnau.

Along the way, you'll pass the ruins of Alt Thierstein Castle and many lovely rest areas and viewpoints.

Now we're looking forward to stage 2 from Wittnau to Aarau.

1st stage of the Aargauer Weg from Frick to Wittnau. A challenging climb up the Tiersteinberg. The path is beautiful at the top. The Alt-Tierstein ruins are a must-see. Just before Wittnau, there is the Lourdes Grotto.
