From Wangen, we climbed the Mittelberg to the site where the Sky Disc was found. The story is insightful, but the observation tower on the mountain overwhelmed me. The tower, with a 10% incline, represents the hand of an oversized sundial. The climb to the observation platform is definitely worth it for the magnificent distant views. So that was the last tour from the hiking guide Urflüstern Wege an Saale und Unstrut, they were beautiful hikes that brought me/us closer together.
