The 50 m to 100 m wide Walterbachtal with its Waltershagener Bach, which has been a nature reserve since 1987, nestles against the central western edge of the Deister between Messenkamp and Eimbeckhausen.
The still sparse stands of oak, hornbeam and beech give the numerous spring flowers a good chance.
Idyll and pure enjoyment!

But still, even with a closed cloud cover ☁️ and light fog 🌫️, the hike was very beautiful!

Great circular hike from the hiking car park through an idyllic valley in the nature reserve.

It was all lightly coated in white, which brought out the sun very nicely. This time we also exposed a stone at the rest area 👍 At the end we …

We drove to the Deister Mountains in beautiful sunny weather to see the leaves change color 🍃🍂!
And the Walterbach Valley is on the sunny side of the mountain in the afternoon! 👌
The only problem was that the hiking trail was closed, trees 🪵 crisscrossed ☹️, so we made our way through the undergrowth, and the blackberries on our …
