The Sendero Balcón de Despeñaperros in Santa Elena is an approximately 3.8 km long, easy circular trail. The path starts directly at the Despeñaperros campsite and is largely well marked. It can be hiked in either direction. I did it counterclockwise so that the highlight, the Balcón de Despeñaperros, would be the crowning glory at the end.
