The Acquapendente is the waterfall of the Apuane and deserves the little effort needed to get to its base. It is a little-known and little-frequented place in the reality of Upper Versilia that offers interesting villages and wonderful landscapes as well as all the possibilities for excursions in the Southern Apuane. Cuesta Acquapendente is a waterfall originating from the jump of a branch of the Deglio canal, a tributary of the Versilia canal in turn tributary of the Vezza river.
The water of the Deglio canal comes from an underground river (called the Vidal river) that passes under the Del Freo Refuge in Mosceta and is fed by the waters that penetrate the karst complex of Monte Corchia.
