In the bay, a destroyed bridge, so return to the road to return to the Vatable forest

The hike through the forest was a mud bath. Rubber boots, or at least closed shoes, would have been advisable.
We arrived from Hôtel la Pagerie (Pointe du Bout) by public bus, as there is no proper footpath. The busy main road is impractical/dangerous for pedestrians, and the path through the golf course was flooded.
