This minor road connects the village of Conistone in the south and Scargill in the north (and further carries on to Kettlewell). It will take you past a number of farms pretty much on the flat - you will not encounter many cars in all likelihood.

Beautiful views as you walk - to the west you will see a lot of Knipe Scar, and High Castles and Swineber Scars to the east.

Kettlewell is an archetypal Yorkshire Dales village in Upper Wharfedale. With Buckden Pike to the north and Great Whernside to the east, it is superbly located for a ramble or two on the high fells. Inns, cottages, campsites and a youth hostel mean that there are plenty of places to rest your head at night.
