There is a trio of pubs in the village centre where you can find a meal and a bed for the night. The Stour Valley Path passes through the village, as it follows the River Stour from source to sea.

A more gentle descent to the A1092 from Glemsford than the main route due south from the village. Not really noteworthy as a climb but going down gives a long steady run on a broad road with gradual corners allowing you to carry your speed all the way to the village of Cavendish at the bottom.
