I had never been to West Portholland, its really beautiful & peaceful. I know its coming to winter, the Sun goes under at 4:30pm its cooler in the valley & your hands are frozen, but these places are just so cool, the Fish Store was closed, but thats to be expected end of season. Still great views & So many Pheasants on the farm roads going back to St Mawes. In the Summer this place must be great something to look forward too, but remeber most of all be safe, wear all bright stuff & have light's it may save your life. Bike Crazy, I'm New to it, it's cool. Peace Out

Porthluney Cove is an ideal place to stop for a dip in the chilly sea thanks to its calm water and sandy beach. You'll meet lots of locals walking their dogs along the sand. The cove is privately owned by Caerhays Castle and Gardens, but is open to the public. There are toilet facilities and picnic spots close to the beach.
