Sammamish River Pedestrian Bridge

Highlight (Segment) • Bridge

This is where you switch between the Burke Gilman and Sammamish River trails when cycling though the area. Best in the fall, when leaves are falling and the view opens up. A bit of a tight turn to the West when you want to get on the Burke Gilman trail, so adjust speed accordingly.

This charming downtown area has something for everyone, making it a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Sultan

Highlight • Settlement

Sultan is a small, charming community situated where the Wallace, Skykomish, and Sultan rivers meet. It offers stunning mountain views and a rich history. Established in 1880 at the location of a Skykomish village, the town saw its beginnings during a small gold rush. Sultan was officially platted in 1889, shortly before the arrival of the Great Northern Railway, and became a center for mining and the lumber industry.

Skykomish River

Highlight • River

The Skykomish River is a free-flowing river that spans 29 miles from the confluence of the North Fork Skykomish River and the South Fork Skykomish River to where it meets the Snoqualmie River. The river is a popular destination for anglers and whitewater enthusiasts.

Northeast Perkins Way Pedestrian Overpass

Highlight (Segment) • Bridge

This is one heck of a ride downhill from the Interurban trail to the Burke Gilman trail! Especially at the top of the hill, hang on for dear life and lean into the curves. A great shortcut.
Climbing up the hill, on the other hand, is an experience in gear management. Take it slow and steady and try to time your way through the steepest part - the red light at 15th Ave.
