A walk in glorious sunny weather from Gruiten train station to the always interesting Grube 7 mine. Unfortunately, the photos don't quite capture the true sense of the view into the deep valley of the mine and the untouched nature. And always a highlight (in addition to the many others) is the village café in Gruiten village.

A beautiful, varied circular tour starting from Gruiten-Haan train station.
Passing rapeseed fields, through sparse forest, and the Grube 7 nature reserve, a former limestone quarry, we then continued through the old town center of Gruiten, with its half-timbered houses. The route then returned on a truly idyllic path along the Düssel River.

Beautiful circular route from Gruiten. The start is at a P&R car park and is easy to find. From there it goes via Gruiten into the forest and across meadows. Up to pit 7 . You cross this to get from there to Gruiten and the starting point. You walk mostly along the Düssel. Good trails and easy to walk
