At the beginning of the 19th century, the Scheeßeler Hof (then known as "Schmeers") was the second "Amtskrug" with "Ausspann" in Scheeßel.
In 1912 Friedrich Meyer set up a bakery in addition to the inn. Today the restaurant and the hall are located in these rooms.
An extension to the hall and a later commissioning of a bowling alley took place in 1930. Regular film screenings took place in this hall until the 1950s.
After a 9-month renovation phase, the Scheeßeler Hof opened its doors again on April 27, 2018. Here, the modern and the future are combined with the long history and tradition in a harmonious way.
