August 22, 2024,Rundtour Schildenstein über Wolfsschlucht
We took a leisurely walk with several breaks. Anyone who is not from the flatlands of Tyrol and is not afraid of heights can do the tour without any problems.

After yesterday's thunderstorm, we set off for the Wolfsschlucht today with good forecasts 🌤️⛅. You should only do it in dry conditions and definitely not (!!!) in ⛈️.
At the beginning you cross the stream several times, to the left it goes to the small Wolfsschlucht, which is also worth a visit because of its waterfall 🌊!
The path is …

A varied hike with an exciting ascent through the Wolfsschlucht (only for experienced).

The Blaubergalm is a wonderful place to rest, the hut is definitely recommended. If you want to save a bit of the route, you can of course omit this detour and the ascent to the Schildenstein. However, you also miss two highlights.

Unlike the day before, this hike began with a touch of white and I quickly immersed myself in the most beautiful, untouched winter landscape.

The walk up to the waterfall in the small wolf's gorge was easy and comfortable. Here small stones suddenly trickled down from the slope and a look up showed me the chamois.

I actually wanted to do a shorter tour because of the heat, but ended up at the Wildbad Kreuth car park (app parking possible and a decent toilet available) and then - what the heck? - took the path to the Wolfsschlucht. The path up is not bad and you should be sure-footed. Once you have climbed through the gorge, …

Take seriously the information at the Wolfsschlucht regarding surefootedness and a head for heights. There are several rope-secured climbing passages to be mastered. However, almost every time you want the rope to start a few meters earlier.

Showing Translation

The climb through the Wolfsschlucht is very steep, partly secured with a wire rope (3 passages), and only for people with a head for heights and surefootedness. Flat to the Siebenhütten, which are currently closed (under renovation), then a bit adventurous, repeatedly crossing the stream through the Wolfsschlucht to the steep ascent. This consists of rock steps secured with a …

🍂🍁 Autumn is here! A refreshingly varied and exciting circular hike (in an autumn mood 🦃).

We went up to Schildenstein via the Wolfsschlucht ⛰️. I would also recommend this direction for the circular hike.

Hiking in the gorge through the riverbed was a great passage! The water level was low enough for this. For the hike up to the …
