Day 1: a climb, then it gets easy.

We started in Rothenburg. We quickly left the city behind and climbed the first hill. This is the steepest part of the tour.

Then the route leads along quiet side roads and good bike paths.

We cycled through tiny villages; we were usually the only ones on the road.
