The last signposted path of the Standwanderweg series and the weakest of all, a lot of time walking next to noisy roads or inside industrial areas, the best is the Wienerbergteich park, which, although it runs just one side, is worth a visit.

A small section of the two banks of the Liesing is currently closed due to construction work. But you can, like me, walk around the Islamic Cemetery on the south side, cross the Laxenburger and turn into Drdlagasse. It leads behind the gas station along back to Liesing. This is how you get back onto the city hiking trail right …

At 20 kilometers, the new city hiking trail has the longest route network. The traffic noise is simply present in sections. At the Liesingbach, the city hiking trail 7, which runs over the Laaer Berg, is crossed (Laaer Berg). The GPX file has two short off-grid sections where the route runs outside the OSM road network.

At the Islamic Cemetery, the route is currently not accessible due to a construction site. You have to make a detour around the cemetery to Laxenburger Straße.

The longest of Vienna's city hiking trails. In my opinion, it is the best signposted of all. Although it leads far into the city, with the exception of Vorarlberger Allee and the local street in Vösendorf, there are hardly any streets.

Today in wonderful autumn weather I did the new city hiking trail, very nice interesting route, a bit shortened and unfortunately GPS also caused problems.
