February 23, 2025,Erste Erkundungstour zu den Märzenbechern im Hintelestal
Since I wasn't sure whether the snowdrops were already blooming, I went to the Hintelestal near Mülheim today before the heavy rain. The first snowdrops and red cup mushrooms are already visible, but it will probably take another week or two until they are in full bloom...

After several years we set out again to “bathe” in the Märzenbecher. Pleasant temperatures made the hike a real pleasure.

The good so close! ;-) The rock cave, the yellow rock and the valley with the white sea of flowers - unfortunately I forgot the name. But the blossoms only there and only now at this time.

The Yellow Rock is also great - even if my hands sweat every time the children stand so close to the abyss.. ;-)

Tour to the Kolbing Cave.
The cave is very beautiful, not very long (accessible about 90m), it also goes down a few meters in altitude.
After the steep ascent at the beginning of the tour, we decided to go down through the Hintelestal. It seems to me that this path is not maintained and is not recommended at this time …

Very nice tour. Very steep climb at the beginning ⛰️. The Kobing Cave 🦇 is really worth seeing. A (very) young man guided us through the cave for 25 minutes. €3.50 entry.

After the first March beakers were already blooming in the Wutachflühen last weekend and the weather was not really convincing today, we decided to go on a tour to the Hintelestal. Here, too, the first March cups are already blooming. In a week there should probably be as many as we had last year 😎

Komootler on tour - 4 hikers and 2 dogs on the way in the Upper Danube Uplands region in search of the March cups in the Hinteles valley.

On the way there was a lot to admire despite the cloudy Sahara sand weather: 2 stalactite caves. According to the description, the rock cave can be visited with guided tours on …

today we are on the way to the Märzenbecher in the Hintelestal.
Start of the hike at the Mühlheim cemetery.
The mountain path begins steeply and narrowly until we reach the Mühlheim rock cave.
Shortly afterwards you have the opportunity to overlook the Danube valley from the yellow rock. We continue on rather broader paths until we reach the first …
