Best Access to the Beach, Mikoszewo Entrance 90

Beautiful beaches along the entire length of the Vistula Spit are separated from the mainland or the Vistula Lagoon by dunes. In most places, bicycle access is impossible, and in others, it's very difficult.

In Jantar and Stegna, the beach can be reached by asphalt road, which is impossible in Mikoszewo. In my opinion, the best access road in Mikoszewo is the road to entrance number 90, the last one before the mouth of the Vistula River (numbering increases from east to west). The road is initially very wide, with a rocky and gravel surface. You pass a parking lot for cars, and the further, narrower section of the forest path is inaccessible.

It's best to leave bikes at the free bicycle parking lot at exit number 90 to avoid the risk of sandy chains and derailleurs.

Mewia Łacha Nature Reserve Beach

From the seaside dune you can see the distant beach in Jantar, and if you look north you can observe the growing sandbank, created by the sea after the breakwater was extended. It is rapidly closing the bay on the eastern side of the eastern breakwater, protecting the mouth of the Vistula.

Comparing the state from a year ago and now, I can assume that in a year or two at the latest, the sandbank will reach the Mikoszewska beach, turning the bay into a lake and enlarging the area favored by waterfowl.
