Pöppelmann Bridge (Grimma)

Highlight • Bridge

If you had to choose between the concrete bridge and the baroque Pöppelmann Bridge, it would be clear.
It's a shame that such architecture no longer exists.
Great bridge with hollows and city views.

A beautiful cycle path along the Mulde River with excellent asphalt – for about ten kilometers, until just before Trebsen, where we then continued towards Machern. Also worth mentioning is …

Muldentalbahn Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

I cycled this cycle path from Grimma to Paschwitz and it was simply beautiful. There is also a new rest area with a view over the Mulde and out into the countryside.

Idyllic path, but only gravel and muddy when wet. There is a paved bike path closer to the river.

In the Machern landscape garden there is a stately, 26 meter high castle ruin. It was built in ruins at the end of the 18th century to decorate the park. The entrance to the castle is an artificial rock wall.

May 29, 2024,Fahrradtour Grimma Machern Wurzen

Today a tour from Grimma along the Parthe to Nauenhof, Beucha, Machern. From there to the Mulde in Wurzen and back along the Muldetalweg. A few drops but bearable. Sometimes a bit disorientated but then easy to find🚵👏
