Abandoned Utility Bunker

Highlight • Structure

I know this is useless as I don't even know what it is, but it's certainly interesting. I was very tempted to go in but as the weather was bad and there was no one around so I decided against it.

Sweetheart Abbey Ruins

Highlight • Historical Site

Good tea room in New Abbey, or take the road to Beeswing at the bridge. the Loch Arthur tea and coffee shop has super homemade cakes and you can have a bottomless filter coffee refilled as much as you like. Closed on Sunday.

Abbey Cottage Tea Room

Highlight • Cafe

Opposite the picturesque Sweetheart Abbey remains, is this excellent Tea Room. An extensive and original menu and seating outside too with a view of the Abbey. Telephone 01387 850377 for opening times but seems to be open most of the time. I can recommend the bacon and maple syrup on a bagel. However, the leaf teas are certainly worth trying and it one of the few places left that still serve Lapsang Souchong!! Bliss. Worth stopping for.
