The new observation tower is modeled after a pine cone. At over 45 meters high, the tower offers views across the Franconian Forest, the Fichtel Mountains, and Thuringia.
The ascent leads via an external staircase equipped with generous platforms. Here, visitors can pause for a moment and admire the natural surroundings. At the end of the climb, a viewing platform awaits, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view.
For those unable to climb the stairs, there's also a solution: a 360-degree camera at the highest point of the tower allows visitors to admire the view from the comfort of the information center or even online.

A lovely holiday hike! After the last week of rain, it's all the more appreciated that you could walk almost dry-footed. Only in the Rabengrund was the grass still wet. The path, which follows a small stream, is all the more beautiful.
