⚠️Attention! The Steigla is impassable in places until further notice due to construction and forestry work. Rubber boots are also required for some sections of the path! ⚠️

The FrankenwaldSteigla Dobertal path takes us into two of the most untouched valleys in the Franconian Forest. The Dober and Grümpel streams babble gently there, villages and roads are far away.

The Steigla trail runs almost exclusively on forest paths and trails, and only briefly crosses the road through Effelter. You can …

Luckily I didn't!

After dropping my wife off at a friend's place in Tschirn this morning, I continue to the neighboring village of Effelter for today's hike.

At the church is my starting point for the hike " Felsla‑Kreuz (Effelter) Runde von Landkreis Kronach". Leaving the village, it goes towards the Felsla Kreuz. It continues downhill into the Grümpeltal.
I notice that all …

A nice round. Thank you @Söhni 🏃 for introducing us. We started in the south at the hiking car park I know. Unfortunately, from Tschirn onwards, forestry work has made the route more difficult. The Dober can only be crossed over two wooden posts and after that the ground is rather swampy. I recommend taking the slightly elevated forest path …
