A fantastic historical and scenic loop from Kelheim to Weltenburg Abbey. Starting with the climb to the impressive Befreiungshalle, the trail offers beautiful panoramic views over Kelheim and the Danube before continuing through peaceful Bavarian forests along the high route. A short 1 km detour to the viewpoint above Weltenburg Abbey was absolutely worth it.
