More like a lake than a pond. A nice spot for a picnic. Also has a small number of parking places if you want to hike from here.

After a fun descent great place to sit down and enjoy the relaxing views across the water.

The pond was created in 1871 by damming Latchmore Brook, with the purpose of supplying water to a nearby gunpowder factory.
