Port Gaverne Cove

Highlight • Viewpoint

Port Gaverne is hailed as the quaintest cove in North Cornwall. The sheltered, narrow cove has plenty of sand at low tide and the National Trust-owned beach has remained almost unchanged for hundreds of years. There are lots of rock pools to explore and some lovely walks in the area. The quiet hamlet was once a thriving port landing slate and coal and a bustling fishing port for pilchards.

Port Isaac

Highlight • Historical Site

Typical Cornish fishing village that has become well known due to location filming of British television series 'Doc Martin'. Quaint little village with typically steep roads into main square. Sample a famous Barnecutts pasty from local bakery or Cornish Cider from one of several bars. The climb back out is a test, especially if the pasties and cider proved too tempting :)
