Old priest's house - 1790

Highlight • Historical Site

This classical-looking house, built around 1790, consists of a double enclosure of three bays on two floors and a basement level lit by an opening in the base.

Rendered facade chained at the corners. Framing openings with a lintel in painted stone; entrance door preceded by a staircase and surmounted by a niche containing a statue of the Virgin.
Slate roof with sloping ceilings, difficult to connect with the roof of an old building. Brisis pierced by three dormer windows with decorative zinc frames: two roses and a window with an arched lintel. At the rear, at the level of the last bay on the right, remains of an older construction whose wall, pierced with windows with a right lintel, battlements and bars, shows an important fruit.

Breux Footbridge

Highlight • Bridge

Built in 1902, the bridge was blown up in 1940 in order to slow down the progress of the German army. Left for several years in a state of ruin, it will receive the nickname of "broken bridge". It will be necessary to wait until the beginning of the 2000s to see the appearance of a temporary footbridge. After many projects, the current footbridge was finally built in 2013.

The village of Chassepierre, located directly on the Semois, is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. From the bridge you can look directly at the town center in an idyllic natural setting.

The village is best known as the venue for the oldest street art festival in Europe, which takes place every year on the weekend after August 15th.
