With this comment I would like to take away your fear of the Stillupklamm.
In several places there is a warning online or on signs that this is a Triftsteig and that very good surefootedness and a head for heights are required. This also scared me at first. The only hurdles, however, are the narrow, sometimes slippery paths and the steep slope right next to them. The worst spots are additionally secured by railings. Contrary to what the term Triftsteig might suggest, there are no rope-secured passages or even stairs. A head for heights in that sense is only necessary because of the steep abysses, but I had no problems with my fear of heights. Basically you can say that it doesn't get any worse once you've managed the first 100 meters on the gorge, only the slopes get higher.
Going downhill is by no means recommended and dangerous!

However, you should not climb the Stillup Gorge under the following conditions:
-with children
-not ideal footwear (good hiking shoes are essential!)
-you go downhill (much too high steps, slippery!)
-it rained heavily recently (slippery)
-with curious or small dogs
- you are tired or unfocused (missteps can be dangerous)
-you are not fit (very steep stairs)
-with luggage in excess of a backpack
-You have not hiked in the Alps several times before and therefore have little experience
