October 4, 2023,...die Wolken waren leider schneller
We went by bike from Mayrhofen to the Zillergründl Speicher dam, then we actually wanted to walk to the Chapel of St. Valentine, but the clouds caught up with us and overtook us. Visibility was zero, so we turned back halfway. Even if we didn't reach our actual goal, it was still a very nice tour.

I thought I'd try an e-bike tour up towards the Zillergründl reservoir today. I wanted to turn around at the latest when only two bars were visible. Maybe I could make it to Little Tibet!? The Hohenaualm, affectionately called "Little Tibet," is located at the end of the Zillergrund reservoir.
Arriving at the Zillergrund toll station, I asked the cashier …

From Mayrhofen via Bärenalm to the Zillergründel reservoir, then via a small tunnel and beautiful signposts with wise sayings to the Hohenau Alm 1863m, also known as "Little Tibet". There are prayer wheels and prayer flags here. A few goats, three pigs and some chickens also enjoy the summer on the mountain pastures here. A place where you can relax …

A fantastically beautiful exhausting tour
You will be rewarded for it with great prospects. In the end, Little Tibet was the highlight for me

In the best weather, a great tour for mind and body. Always a great tour. The Bärenbadal is recommended for pleasure and technology. Great descent to Mayrhofen.

A great tour in cloudy weather. The rain of the last two days resulted in powdered mountains at over 2,000m. Great tour. Always a leisurely climb up to the Bärenbadalm. After that it got significantly steeper. The tunnel passages are crazy! It's easy to drive from the dam to Little Tibet. But you should be safe on the bike. It …

Wonderful tour to the Zillergründl reservoir in the Zillertal. In contrast to private cars, you can cycle up to the reservoir and also via a coarse gravel field path to the "Klein Tibet" valley head. The climbs are well distributed, i.e. well suited for biobikes. But what I hadn't considered today was the extreme heat/sunshine. The asphalt was literally glowing …
