The waterfall was created by a dam. It's still very impressive.

April 19, 2025,🇦🇹 Dornbirnerach-Alplochschlucht–Amanns Brücke bei Dornbirn/Bregenz
🇦🇹 Dornbirnerach to Alplochschlucht (unfortunately a large part is closed) and to Amanns Brücke near Dornbirn/Bregenz

Showing Translation

It seems according to the signs that there is a dedicated MTB and Gravel course 😉

Showing Translation

The last third is probably nicer to hike, this route leads over an overgrown path that nature has almost reclaimed.
The gorges are definitely worth a visit, even a second one with more water. 👍

May 1, 2022,Kirchle vom Gütle
Unfortunately, the Alploch Gorge was closed and we had to cross the road all around.

But the church is always an impressive natural experience.

The climb to the church was truly strenuous, but it was definitely worth it. Personally, I'd recommend sturdy shoes, but my respect goes to the young family who made quite a splash in flip-flops and Birkenstocks. 😅💚☀️

Very spectacular - almost alone in November - very strong recommendation

We actually wanted to go shopping in Dornbirn. In the tourist info there was a flyer with the destinations, including the Rappenloch and Alploch Gorge. Hikers told us about the "Kirchle" yesterday. That we would come so quickly ...
So after a short sightseeing tour to the Gütle and into these great gorges. On the first section to the Staufensee …

Today was a nice and interesting tour. 🤗
Unfortunately, some sections of the route were closed due to repair work and the construction of a bridge. 🤨
All in all, a recommendable area that you should have seen.
A special highlight for me was the church. 👍
