Departure point of the free bike shuttle over the bridge to St.Nazaire. Crossing the bridge by bike is not recommended because there is no structural separation between the bike lane and the busy road and because of the strong cross winds. Instead, you have several options:

Free shuttle minibus
The bike shuttle is in use on the long spring weekends:
* Weekend from May 6th to 8th
* Weekend from May 18th to 21st
* Weekend from May 27th to 29th
* Weekend from June 2nd to 4th
From July 1 to September 3, 2023 with doubling of passages from July 10 to August 13, 2023 and on weekends in September, pedestrians and cyclists can use a free shuttle bus from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. to travel along the Loire between Saint- Cross Nazaire and Saint-Brevin-les-Pins in both directions.
The bus runs 9 times a day between the two stops in Saint-Nazaire and Saint-Brevin-les-Pins. The service is free and does not require reservation (subject to space availability).
* Up to 8 people can be taken along at the same time.
* A trailer is available for the bicycles (tandems and cargo bikes are not allowed)
* The shuttle buses can also transport luggage, child seats and trailers
A second shuttle for cyclists will be used from July 10th to August 15th to reduce waiting times. Departures from Saint-Nazaire and Saint-Brevin-les-Pins: every 30 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m

Fort de Mindin

Highlight • Historical Site

Built in 1861 by Napoleon III, the fort of Mindin was initially used for military defense. Strategically positioned at the mouth of the river to the ocean, Fort Mindin was used by the Germans during World War II.

The town of Saint-Brevin-les-Pins bought the fort, restored it and it now houses the Marine Museum.
