Spratzelbrunnen Spring

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Sprosselbrunnen, also called Spratzelbrunnen, is a small spring well worth seeing, a water outlet from the sandy rock. The Spratzelbrunnen is below the path, just follow the tracks and be amazed.

Haimendorf Castle

Highlight • Castle

Pretty, small Renaissance mansion, one of the best preserved of its kind in Franconia. Unfortunately, you cannot visit it because it is privately owned, but luckily it also makes something from the outside!

January 5, 2026,Klingender Wasserfall von Röthenbach-Seespitze
Based on the newspaper photo from December 31, 2025, we had hoped for an frozen, cascading waterfall. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful winter hike from the Seespitze Röthenbach parking lot.

our neighbor Christian wanted to go to the sounding waterfall in Schönberg. Since I'm still on vacation this week, we set out on this tour together this morning. Unfortunately, the weather forecast was right and it rained the whole way. It even started to snow on the last stretch. 🥶 🌨

Showing Translation

Heavy rain on the freeway on the way there, heavy snowfall on the way home... Sunshine during the hike 🌞 we were pretty good after all 😇🥰

It starts from Röthenbach Seespitze via Letten to the Sprosselbrunnen and the sounding waterfall.
There the Hüttenbach pours down in several cascades.
In Haimenbach you really can't circumnavigate the castle without conflict, so back again.
Via the green Au (horses) then in the direction of Renzenhof for a stop.
Back again through lonely winding paths.
