We haven't stopped here, but the rustic Grotto La Froda restaurant right next to the bridge over the river bed of the Calnegia is an eye-catcher with a wonderful ambience and is well frequented. June 11, 2025,🚶‍♂️ (TI) Foroglio Val Bavona mit Wasserfall - und hinauf ins Paradies 🌞

The first five photos show the current condition after the massive storm of 2024 in Val Bavona; the road has been somewhat repaired.

A large, imposing and loud waterfall near Foroglio is very impressive.

And above it, near Puntid, lies paradise, incredibly beautiful. The trails are mostly T2, locally T3, so they're a bit rough and have lots of steps.

A somewhat shortened tour as we expected bad weather early in the afternoon. And yes, swiss Meteo was right again. Precisely at 12:30 the rain started and the fog pressed down from the mountains.

For all fit hikers; plan the big round tour around the lake here. We weren't up there (there was still snow) but according to the photos …
