Lillach Spring

Highlight • Natural

The Lillach has a lot to offer, not only the sinter terraces, but also a real spring. The spring water flows beautifully from under a stone and across the path. Fantastic playground for children and a picnic area for all weary hikers. However, don't expect to be alone here. This hiking trail is too well known.

The eastern city gate, also known as the “Upper Gate”, is now the gatehouse above Bundesstraße 2 and is a listed building. Great view with the castle in the background.

Three Peaks of Großenohe

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Three Peaks are actually in the Sexten Dolomites and are a bit bigger. The Franconian version is also nice to look at and definitely worth a stop.

Comments

April 2, 2025,Drei Zinnen Runde 😉😁
Today I finally got the YT out of the Forchheim forge and out of its winter hibernation. While I was in the area, I did a test ride past the sinter terraces of the Lillach River, all the way to the (Franconian) Three Peaks.
