This tour is highly recommended. The paths are mostly beautiful and well-maintained. There are informative information panels at intervals along the Limes hiking trail. The locations of watchtowers and Roman forts are marked on the maps along the trail. Unfortunately, the two forts in Bad Ems have not been preserved. The locations of some watchtowers can only be guessed at. …
