A hill near Staudenheim on the Nahe River called Disibodenberg.
Named after Bishop Disibod, exiled from Ireland, who lived here in a hermitage in the 7th century and around whom a monastic community formed.
Around 1000, Archbishop Willigis of Mainz founded a canonry on this hill, the "Disibodenberg."

The journey continues 230 kilometers at the Disibodenberger monastery.. a narrow, bumpy road leads there 😯🚌.. Saint Hildegard von Bingen lived here for 41 years around 1170 in a women's monastery.. there is not much left but many panels have been set up where was something about.. very interesting.. so I hope I can sleep well right next door 😊😉🥾🌞🍀🍷
