small round from Maria Reisenmarkt over Holzschlag and along the Peilsteinwand below. Up the short 'red' via ferrata at the very end of the wall... up to the Peilsteinhaus and down over the ruins of Agstein.

From Maria Reisenmarkt, which is on the Viennese pilgrimage route to Mariazell, it took just under an hour to climb the Peilstein. From the summit cross you have a beautiful view of the church on the Hafnerberg, which is also on the pilgrimage route, and in the Peilsteinhaus there is a good feast and a very friendly hut host!
