Seven Stones of Spornitz

Highlight • Natural Monument

Here it goes to the seven stones. A great place for a break and a bit of culture and WARNING: horror. The story of the stones is on the signs by the wood, there is also a fireplace, benches and shade. It is also a little quieter than on the street.
If you are looking for less culture and tranquility or are afraid of the dirt road to the forest, you can also use the bench right here for a rest.

Schwerin-Parchim Airport

Highlight • Rest Area

It started in 1934 with gliding. At the end of the 1930s, a military airfield for the fascist air force was built here. During the Second World War, transport planes, fighter pilots and bombers were stationed here. In the GDR, first Soviet fighter pilots and from the 1970s Soviet combat helicopters, most recently of the Mi-24 type, were stationed here. After the withdrawal of the Soviet armed forces in November 1992, the airport was used for civilian purposes, primarily for charter flights. The airport has been insolvent since 2019. The flight operation areas are currently used by sports pilots and for car tests.

As an inline skater, you cannot access the flight operations areas (parking areas, taxiways, runways). But you can skate very well in front of the airport. Here you can easily find a parking space ;)
