On the right bank of the river, about 1 km downstream from the Ponte Porton bridge, there is a small square-plan church of Our Lady of Baštija, with a small horsetail on the facade and a chapel supported by columns. This was built in the XIVth century and rebuilt in 1610. On the altar is a statue of the Mother of God. Crkvica was then an important meeting point for sailors and the surrounding population. The chapel was renovated in 2000 when older walls and foundations were discovered that were significantly lower than current levels, meaning it was raised due to flooding.
