The path is named after Ivo van Dinther (Geffen *1915, Boxmeer † 2001). Van Dinther was ordained as a priest in 1943. He was pastor, rector, teacher and prior. He was also of great importance as a recitation artist, storyteller and writer of poems, stories and plays in the Brabant dialect and for his painting. He drew his inspiration from his childhood memories of the old Geffen, from his faith, nature, the Brabant landscape and the life of the simple farmer. The poems are drawn from his thirty written works.
