Mossy Waterfall in Madeira Natural Park

Beautiful section of path which makes you feel like you're in the middle of a rain forest!

Very nice, shady Levadastrecke, also for not giddiness-free (partly narrow, but secured way) 💚

Beautiful place to take a break and watch a little but nice waterfall

A rain poncho is very appropriate on many lavada hikes! First, because of the rapidly changing weather and the other because the paths also like to lead through a waterfall

Beautiful hike through the laurel forest of Madeira. A spectacular passage of the way leads through a steep rock face, the path runs on a narrow band of rock partially through tunnels and is secured throughout, but can cause vertigo in non-vertigo-free hikers.

This tour would have been 11 km long and the return journey would have been by taxi, but after about 7.5 km the path ended because the slope had slipped. It was still nice

spectacular levada along steep rock faces (but with security)

Absolutely top tour, the further you get to the turning point, the more beautiful and impressive the path and the views are. It goes constantly along a levada and has no noticeable incline, so it is not strenuous at all. The path is well secured, you should not be afraid of heights on the last kilometer to the turning point.

Second ascent of the varied Levada do Furado, this time in foggy weather. Start and finish Ribeiro Frio. Great levada and this time not quite as crowded as last time👍

The hike ends in Portela, then you can take a taxi or walk back. To make it more interesting, we went back over the plateau. It's a steep climb, but it's worth it. The rest of the way back is saved in the second part.

The way back over the mountain is only accessible with a machete. We arrived scratched by blackberries and branches and with ruined clothes on top. Sometimes you could only get through the undergrowth on all fours, pushing your rucksack. Good for the one who was in the Bundeswehr. In addition, there is moss-covered clay soil, which makes climbing the mountain …

" one of the most beautiful levadas " the paperwork said. It was a stunner for sure.
