Steep ascent, slower descent. It's exhausting but never dangerous and not technically difficult, so no rock climbing. A lot of loose rocks on the path so use good walking shoes. Start early because the walk took us 8 hours to complete. Also bring enough water. 2L is minimum on a sunny day in fall.

From there the passage between the rock walls leads down towards San Pedro.
