We drive from the hotel in Chaiyi to the bus station. The bus isn't the newest, and the diesel engine sounds a bit asthmatic, but it does its job flawlessly.
From just above sea level, the bus winds its way up, bend after bend.
After 2.5 hours, through dense rainforest and breathtaking views, we reach our destination, Alisan National Park …
