The Bohrmeister-Hasenbein-Weg (Drillmaster Hasenbein Trail) in Wietze is a cultural-historical cycling and hiking trail dedicated to the history of oil production – a central chapter in the region's technological and industrial history. The trail is named after Friedrich Hasenbein, who initiated the oil boom in Wietze with a successful drilling operation in 1899. This drilling operation was so significant that it quickly transformed the town into one of Germany's most important oil-producing regions.

The trail leads through the former Wietze oil field and connects historic drilling and production facilities, some of which are still in their original condition. Particularly impressive is the 54-meter-high drilling tower from 1961, located on the grounds of the German Petroleum Museum – a central point of interest along the trail.
