Borrel Village Well

Highlight • Monument

The village of Borrel was between Wiegersen and Revenahe and was abandoned at the beginning of the 20th century. Today only the old village well and the name of the adjacent street remind of the place. The fountain is located near the Wanderparkplatz and is best reached from the country road. The path through the forest is pretty wild.

The hiking car park is located directly on the country road between Wiegersen and Revenahe. It has space for around 10 cars and is usually well attended on weekends. From here you can easily start into the Wiegersener Forest.

Wiegerser Forest

Highlight • Forest

The Wiegerser Forest is 640 hectares and has a large network of trails. The main paths are heavily paved. Many of the byways are not shown at Komoot. So there remains some adventure while hiking. The ram that later flows into the Oste flows through the forest. You can sometimes hike along the river very well. There is a parking lot for hikers on the road between Wiegersen and Revenahe.
