The Lund University Library, alongside the Royal Library in Stockholm,
is one of the largest university libraries in the country.
In 1690, the library, which had previously been housed in the Cathedral Chapter Liberiet, was moved to the Kungshuset before relocating to its current building in 1907.
The construction of the current building began in 1902, after the plan to expand the Kungshus was abandoned.
