It is always worth a visit from Lockwitztal, as the view from the mausoleum over the Upper Elbe Valley near Dresden is fantastic. The building is also one of the last temple-like structures in the Greek style by the old Gottfried Semper.

The mausoleum is located northeast of the crow's mound above Schloss Lockwitz, in what is now called Krähenwald. It is a sandstone arched crypt building with 48 burial chambers, built in Greek temple style. In 1945, the chambers were completely looted and finally sealed in 1994. A descendant of the Barons of Cape-gentleman later bought back the crow's forest together with the mausoleum, whose repair is planned.
