The Ostpark is an older park with an artificial lake, the Hachinger Bach on the western edge, a barbecue area, an indoor and outdoor pool with a sauna area (Michaelibad) and a large beer garden.

Hiking

With the Ostpark, a local recreational area with lawns and tree-lined hills was created from what was once flat arable land. The mounds cover construction rubble that was created during the construction of Neuperlach and the subway. In addition to a branching network of paths, a 3.5-hectare bay-rich lake was created in the west of the park, which is fed by groundwater wells. In winter, people go ice skating here, and cross-country skiers circle around when the snow conditions are right.
