Hiking

This bunker was part of the Czechoslovak Wall, an extensive border fortification system for Czechoslovakia along the borders with the German Empire, Austria, Poland and Hungary. The first fortifications were built in Petržalka near Bratislava in 1933. The remaining parts were built between winter 1934 and October 1938.

Hiking

Part of the defense of the Sluknov area. The Munich Agreement, which awarded the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia to the Nazis, prevented fighting in this area. Very impressive, but a battle here might have prevented later campaigns? At the very least, it would have been very bloody.
