The Freudenberg Main Bridge is a road bridge in Lower Franconia that spans the Main River at the state border between Bavaria and Baden-WĂĽrttemberg. It connects State Road 2315 - Kirchfurt Nord to Freudenberg via the "HauptstraĂźe" (main road). A Main Bridge was built in 1906-1907. During World War II, the bridge was blown up by German troops in 1945 to protect it from the advancing enemy. Reconstruction of the steel girder bridge began in 1949. A ferry service was established with a high-wire ferry until the bridge was completed.
