"Die Barbarin" is considered the most important work by the artist from Stavanger, Magnus Vigrestad. The original, created in 1914, is located in Børsparken in Kristiansand. In 1965, the artist's family donated a plaster model of the 167 cm tall sculpture to the Stavanger Faste Galleri. The Rogaland Kunstmuseum then had a new bronze cast version made to honor the artist. This now stands in Mostunhagen by Mosvatnet.
