The estate was a fief of the von Schwerin family (later Counts von Ziet(h)en-Schwerin) for centuries. Swedish registry maps from 1696 already show a compact manor farm east of the church. In 1763, Hans Bogislaw von Schwerin is mentioned as the owner, in 1800 his son August Bogislaw. The estate comprised approx. 650 hectares at that time. Other owners from the family included Henning and Wilhelm von Schwerin (mid-19th century) and later Albert Ludwig von Schwerin-Ziethen (around 1905, who, however, did not live on the estate himself).
